I went to pick up my new glasses today. I was surprised by how much clearer things were to me in town! Long distance signs that I couldn't read before were perfectly clear through the glasses. I guess I didn't think there would be that big of a difference since my vision is 20/25. I'm pretty sure I'll be using them more for driving than shopping since the difference is through long distance.
We got our first income tax refund check and we dined at Cheddars tonight.
I have to show you the dessert we got! (I was thinking of Angela while finding myself taking pictures of food again!) But OH MY! It's a triple layer chocolate cake with fudge-like icing, vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and caramel, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. (Jameson always claims the cherry:) It was HUGE and the 4 of us weren't able to finish it. It was too good to leave there, so I actually brought dessert left-overs home! I think that was a first! It will feed a FAMILY! So next time you're there, remember this post and go ahead and cheat on your diet.....who's gonna know?! ;) Besides, your hubby and kids will help you eat it. So the 1,000 calories are evenly distributed.....Hee Hee! I love the fact that they brought out 4 spoons for us! The boys went right to digging in!
I did a little shopping afterwards. Kohls sent me a $10 gift for the month of my birthday and I didn't waste any time using it. It enabled me to buy a cute shirt/scarf set for exactly $9! I also got 2 new pairs of shoes from Payless for $30. So that was the extent of my splurges! You can blame the chocolate cake totally on Anthony!
(Really! But I couldn't resist digging in, too! Could you?!)
