A Rough Day!

Today (...or yesterday!) Jameson had his 4 year check up and immunizations. He told us he was going to be a big boy and not cry. I knew there would definitely be tears so I told him it was okay to cry. He responded, "I don't need to cry! I'm gonna be nice and strong." LOL! Well, he was nice and strong up until they pricked his finger. That's when the tears began for him and Mama. Then in came the mean nurse with four needles! :( Anthony had to hold him down and it was not a pretty sight. To make matters worse, the nurse called me while we were eating out afterwards with bad news. She said his hemoglobin level was too low and we needed to bring him back in for another CBC. It was tough having to tell him we were going back after what he'd been through already. We were supposed to be heading to the store for that anticipated toy! He asked, "What's the doctor talking about?" after I got off the phone and kept saying, "I not need no more shots??" :( Needless to say, he was pretty upset about another finger prick! He got angry during that one and was acting like he did that night in the E.R. He'd had enough by now! Praise God, it came back 11.5 (The first one was an 8.) We're thankful if wasn't any thing serious and grateful for how mindful He is of our prayers and concerns. We had prayed on our way from the restaurant to the office and you know how the enemy tries to make you think the worst! We finally made it to the store where Jameson picked out a new (and well deserved:) Leapster game. We rushed home and got ready for Church. Apparently, Landon had too much to eat at dinner and threw up immediately after being buckled into his car seat. So we had to bring him back into the house, clean him up and change him, and switch vehicles since the car seat in the truck was now dirty! We did make it to Revival, albeit 30 minutes late!
Shew, what a day!

A little nervous while the nurse is checking his blood pressure, which is very low like his Mother's! It was 86/56!
The cute little gown they made him wear! He's 33 lb and 39 in.
One way of handling scary situations....... lol!
This is a clip of a song that Jameson loves for some reason! I sang it to him while trying to comfort him after his 6th poke today but I love to hear him sing it more than any thing! I'm glad HE controls the tiny details of our lives and HE's every where we go!
(even mean doctor's offices ;)

  1. Poor baby!!!!!!!! Makena did GREAT at her 4 yr check up. She didn't cry, she flinched and thought she wouldn't be able to get her carmel ice cream sunday. :( Weston did alot more like this, and cried and screamed. In fact, he told the nurse that she was mean. It was sooo sad.
