Easter as a family of 4 ...

I hope every one had a wonderful Easter as we did! We are so very blessed and I definitely enjoyed the day with my family. Jameson and Landon really racked up this year. They got FIVE Easter baskets each. Yes, I said five! I'm thinking maybe they could do without the ones from us next year? It seems their grandparents, Aunts and Uncles have got them covered. Ha Ha! The weather was rainy so the kids hunted eggs inside of Gramma's house but they loved every minute of it. It dried up enough to let them go outside and try out their bubble machines from Gramps & Gramma. It was a great day and most importantly, we had the privilege of being in God's house for two services to celebrate His Son's resurrection! I'm so thankful that He chose the cross and I know my Redeemer lives!

A proud moment for a Mother....

FOR DAD: DON'T GO INTO CARDIAC ARREST OR ANY THING. I REALLY AM POSTING THREE DAYS IN A ROW ON MY BLOG. THIS IS TRULY YOUR DAUGHTER AND NOT A HACKER.

Now onto the reason for posting this late! Tonight we went to McDonald's after Church. (nothing unusual) We were out of milk so we also had to run to Wal-Mart before coming home. Jameson was singing "I've Never Been This Homesick Before" in the car on our way to the store. He LOVES "The Elijah Band" CD and sings the songs quite often. He gets the tune and a few of the words in. We get a kick out of listening to him! (We had been laughing up until this point.) Tonight, when he finished his usual version of the verse and chorus, he started adding his own words to the song. It was so sweet as he came up with them on his own. I don't know how this little boy knew that he was singing about Heaven, but here's what we heard him singing from the back seat, "I see my Daddy.....I see Seesus(Jesus)....I see my Memaw....I see my home...." He mentioned his Memaw several times during the song while I smiled at Anthony with tears in my eyes. We've told him where Pam is but it was so precious to actually hear him sing his own words about Heaven tonight! I had to call Shelly to share it with her. Jameson wanted to run into Wal-Mart with me so I was on my cell phone while walking him in. He kept saying "Pay Shelly....I pay Shelly" and I thought he said he wanted to play with Shelly. It wasn't until I looked down at him that I realized what he had been saying. While walking through the Wal-Mart doors, my little boy had one hand in the air and was praying quietly for his Aunt. I told Shelly what he was doing and after I got a shopping cart, he asked me to hold his hand while he lead us in prayer for her. It sounds like gibberish with her name mentioned a couple of times, then an "Amen" at the end. That didn't make it any less special to us. I almost cried when he prayed for her again a couple of minutes later and I felt a sweet presence. This Mommy's heart along with one very loved Aunt's were touched tonight and I don't think we'll ever forget it. I believe God heard the song and the prayers of my little boy and HIS heart was touched too!

Gotcha For Three Years Now!

Two days ago we celebrated Lilianna's third Gotcha Day! It doesn't seem like it's been three years since she joined our family. I'll never forget the Sunday in July of 2005 when Mom and Dad told me they were going to adopt a child from China. I was so thrilled I cried! It was a long process that took two years and nine months. Now I couldn't imagine life without her! We enjoyed Los Nopales for the celebration dinner. I asked the waiter to bring Lili some ice cream and they went above and beyond. They came out singing with maracas and placed a sombrero on her head. The smile on her face was absolutely priceless. Here's a picture of the moment!

A very happy Lili!

Landon's 1st Birthday Celebration!

Has it really been a year?

Wow! I am now a Mother to a three year old and a one year old! Both boys. Two years apart. I don't think I'll be bored for many years to come. Ha Ha! We celebrated last Saturday on our little monkey's birthday. The party theme was jungle animals. Anthony and I had some difficulty getting the humongous balloons into our vehicles at Wal-Mart and in the process, lost two giraffes in the sky. I had bought three monkey balloons and three giraffes. So sadly, only one giraffe made it to the party. It was a stressful evening for me because I didn't give myself enough time to prepare for the party. (WHAT? Michelle procrastinated? How very uncharacteristic of her!) Super sister, Sarah (along with boyfriend, Bradley) saved the day by coming to help me throw it all together in twenty minutes and create a party which turned out great. We had a good time eating Papa John's and watching Landon eat his birthday cake. Unlike Jameson, he was very generous with his and was willing to share with every one! The aftermath was bad enough that he ended up in our Church fellowship hall sink. Apparently, he's allergic to the dye in the icing because his face broke out in hives afterwards. I got his pictures taken today by Dana Basham in Cecilia and made sure to get plain icing on this second cake. (She does cake pictures for first birthday sessions.) Landon loved all of his gifts and both boys have enjoyed having new toys in the house all week.

It's amazing how they grow and change in the first year. This time last year, I was holding a nine pound newborn and picking out the outfit he would wear to his dedication at Church that weekend. Now he's crawling all over the place, pulling up to furniture and on my skirt tail. He's still quite dependent upon me and more attached than Jameson was at this age. That's okay though because I know one day down the road, I'll look back on these years and miss them. I'm cherishing my time with our precious sons while they are little!

Enjoy the pictures,

Michelle

Spring pictures of my boys!

Dad took a "few" (Ha Ha!) pictures of Jameson and Landon this evening with his new camera and they turned out great! Of course, how could they be less than great with subjects as cute as these guys?! Thanks, Pop! You did a great job. I absolutely love them and can't wait to get some printed!

Enjoy!

Jameson ~ 3 years
Landon ~ 1 year (almost:)
