Tonight we went out to celebrate Lilianna's 4th Gotcha Day. She loves Mexican food so our family dined at Los Nopales'. This special little lady received a purse, a bubble gun, and an ice cream sundae complete with a sombrero and a song.
Lili, what a joy you are to our family! I'm glad God chose you to be my little sister. I remember sitting at my computer early in the morning, on the edge of my chair with excitement waiting for pictures to arrive via the Internet of the new addition to our family. They were coming from the other side of the world where you had just been placed in Daddy & Mommy's arms for the first time. I still get teary when I stroll down memory lane and revisit those emotions. They came when I received news in the nursing home parking lot that we were expecting you, they bubbled up when I saw pictures of you that early morning, and they overflowed when you landed in Kentucky and I laid eyes on you for the first time.
Adoption should be close to all Christian's hearts: Galatians 4:3-6 "Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: .... God sent forth His Son, .... To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." I'm so glad HE adopted me!
Aww! Look at Lili! What a little sweetie she is!
